What determines the size of a power bank?

The most important factor determining a power bank's size is its capacity. The more mAh a power bank has, the larger the battery, which simply takes up more space.

Why is the size different with the same capacity?

Do two different power banks have the same capacity but a different size? This could be due to the following reasons:

Battery cell type: Lithium-ion batteries are often flatter and more flexible than cylindrical lithium-ion cells. This allows manufacturers to develop thinner or differently shaped power banks.

Casing and durability: Power banks with a strong or waterproof casing are often somewhat larger and heavier than power banks with a minimalist design.
