Need a Power Bank?

Do you often find your phone's battery runs out too quickly? Or are you constantly worrying about whether you have enough charge to last the day? If so, it’s time to get a power bank. Power banks come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, with many being small enough to fit right in your pocket. You can easily take a power bank with you anywhere, and some can even charge your phone up to 8 times.

How to Choose the Right Power Bank

When you're looking for a power bank, there are a few things to keep in mind. One of the most important features is its capacity, measured in mAh. The higher the capacity, the more times you can charge your phone, tablet, or other device. It's also important that the power bank can charge your device quickly. For this, it needs to provide enough power, which is expressed in watts (W). The power that phones can accept varies a lot. For example, the latest iPhones can use up to 27W, while the newest Samsung phones can handle 45W.

Finally, think about the size and the connections. If you want to charge several devices at once, you'll need a power bank with multiple ports. If you plan to take it with you on your travels, a more compact size is often better. If you need more information on choosing a power bank, read our how to choose the right power bank blog.

What capacity do I need?

Energy use and charging times can vary a great deal between devices. A power bank with a lower capacity (up to 10,000mAh) is better suited for charging smartphones or action cameras (like a GoPro). If you want to charge a tablet or a laptop, a power bank with a higher capacity (20,000mAh or more) is needed. Naturally, a smartphone can be charged twice as many times with a 20,000mAh power bank compared to a 10,000mAh power bank. However, a 20,000mAh power bank will be a bit heavier to carry around.

Why do I need a power bank?

We've all been there: you're out for the day, and just before you get home, your phone battery dies. This can be really inconvenient in a world where our phone is one of our most essential gadgets. That's why having a charged battery at all times is so helpful. Unfortunately, a phone battery doesn't always last a full day, especially with heavy use. This is where a power bank can be a real lifesaver. With a power bank, you can charge your phone around 1 to 4 times, which will easily get you through the rest of the day, or even a whole weekend.

Power Banks for Travel and On The Go

When you go travelling, taking a power bank with you is incredibly useful. These days, almost everything is managed on your smartphone – your boarding pass, your directions, your hotel booking. You can't really afford to have a flat battery when you're away from home. But you don't always want to carry a heavy power bank around. Luckily, there are very light and small power banks available that can still charge your phone at least 1 to 1.5 times. These compact power banks can be a lifesaver on your travels. Just be sure to check the rules for taking a power bank on a plane.
