Shock mount

This compact shotgun microphone comes with a Rycote® shock mount. The resilient construction absorbs shocks and contact noises from, for example, the floor. As a result, the microphone has almost no vibrations during use and the sound quality will remain good.

Attach the microphone to the cold shoe mount of your camera, to a phone holder or tablet holder with the cold shoe at the bottom of the shock mount. Due to the weight of only 67.5 grams, you hardly notice that the microphone is on your camera or smartphone.

Crystal clear sound

Enjoy crystal clear sound with the BOYA BY-MM1 PRO compact shotgun microphone (also called directional microphone). The supercardioid polar pattern is ideal for making targeted audio recordings from one or two sides and largely excludes unwanted background noise. Quickly switch between one of the two sides (F or R) with the slider. Or choose to record from two sides (F + R).

To monitor your recordings live, connect headphones to the 3.5 mm jack on the side of the microphone.

The microphone comes with two windscreens and two windshields (for both sides) to dampen the pops and hiss of speech and the sound of the wind. You will also receive a handy storage bag / pouch with this microphone.

Universal Compact Shotgun Microphone

The BOYA BY-MM1 can be used with almost all cameras, smartphones, tablets, camcorders, PCs and more. A slider on the top of the microphone allows you to switch between camera mode (TRS) and smartphone mode (TRRS).

The directional microphone has no batteries because it can be connected directly to your device with the 3.5mm. You will not be left with an empty microphone while recording your film or vlog (outdoors).

Note: if your smartphone does not have a headphone port, you need an extra adapter from 3.5mm to Lightning or USB-C. This gradient is not included.
